We are looking for volunteers from the Treasure Valley to help assist us with Aid Stations, Bag Drop/Gear Check, Finish Line Medals & Food, Registration, Course Set-Up & Clean Up, and Course Marshals.
Aid Stations
Set up aid stations (table, Idaho Spring Water banner, water coolers, cups, Gu)
Filling up water cups to set on tables for passerby runners
If your aid station has Gu (Energy Gel), having it ready to go on the table
Being familiar with the course to direct runners if they get lost
Bag Drop
Timeline: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
This year we will have a tent set up for runners to leave their items while they run
Sit at the table, give them a number to keep or tear off a part of the bib (working on bib design now which will determine it)
When they return, collect the bag
Finish Medals
Timeline: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
We will need people putting medals on runners as they cross the finish line cheering them on
Others will hand out some of the finish line food (probably a banana or a bottle of water)
Registration
Timeline: 6:30 AM - 9:00 AM
Morning of the race we need people at the registration table for the last minute check-ins
We will have a tutorial on Chronotrack for those who sign up for this and how to register their bib
When they return, collect the bag
Course Clean Up
Timeline: 2:15 PM - Completion
We utilize golf carts to pick up all the aid station supplies, turn signs, mile markers and anything else left on the course
For the locations that are drivable by car we will grab them in a truck and split the groups up
Course Set Up
Timeline: 3:45 AM/4:00 AM - 7:00 AM
Placing all turn signs and mile markers on the course
This may be a two day set up (drop signs off Saturday evening where we can, finish the rest morning of)
Course Marshal
Timeline: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Each course marshal is on a golf cart and is assigned a certain section of the course and section of aid stations
Your cart will be stoked with extra items should an aid station run out
You will drive the course and check on runners and bring anyone back on a golf cart that may not be able to finish the course
You determine when it is safe to release your aid station to go home
